Easter

Easter was full of Easter egg hunts and a special lesson about why we really celebrate Easter. I was surprised just how much Kaden knew about the Resurrection. We watched the Living Scripture movie called "He is Risen" and Kaden kept telling Tanner what was going to happen next. I am glad that my kids are learning the scripture stories thanks to their Primary and Nursery teachers. Well Saturday started out with a Easter egg hunt at the elementary school then up to Grandma's for an Easter party. We had yummy food and fun crafts and an Easter egg hunt in the dark with flashlights since there was 4 inches of snow in Grandma's backyard. Then Sunday we went to the other Grandma's for another Easter dinner and hunt. We did that one inside as well since the backyard was all wet and muddy. And as always the kids ended up with way too much candy. Their Grandparents sure do spoil them!!! Isn't that what Grandmas and Grandpas are for!!

Logan's 2nd Birthday

Logan turned 2. In some ways I can't believe he is 2 already and then when I looked at the way he talks and the thinks he does I can't believe that he is only 2!
Logan brings so much laughter in to our house. He is always saying and doing the funniest things. We are so blessed to have him be apart of our family. On his birthday he woke up to the house being decorated and his special 2 shirt for the day. He kept saying, "For Me?" like he wasn't sure that all of this was for him. We made him a motorcycle cake and went to the star place (Carl's Jr.) for dinner and playing then it was home for presents. He got a trampoline for his birthday. We have be thinking about getting the boys one for a long time but thought that it would be good to give it to Logan so that his brothers have to share it with him. We even make the boys ask Logan if they can jump on it. Logan loves his new power and finds joy in picking who gets to go on his trampoline and who can't.
He also got lots of motorcycle stuff which he loves. This boy is obsessed we can be driving down the street and he will hear one and look up and start looking for it. He even said that the only thing that he wanted for his birthday was a motorcycle. I hope that when he get older this motorcycle obsession dies down.

Simplot Games- Idaho

In high school Paul and I went and ran at Simplot Games every year. We even would go up and help for several years after we graduated. Paul even proposed to me the morning we were leaving to go to Simplot and help coach. So we love the Simplot Games and will pretty much find any excuse to go. So my niece was running up there so that was a good enough excuse so we went. My mom was nice enough to take three of the boys for the weekend as well. Man, only having one kids to take care of is so much easier than four. I wish when I only had one a realized just how easy I had it.

It was so much fun to go up there and see high school kids from all over the country there. It is amazing how fast some of them are. We even go to see a couple a National records broken. Paul even ran in a coaches race; he placed 2nd in his age group but was much slower than he is used to. Maybe the 30 extra pounds and the not workout everyday had something to do with it. We had a blast and Parker loved all the attention that he got that weekend. The other boys had fun playing with Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Dallas and of course getting spoiled rotten.

Logan

I have been trying to ween Logan from naps because days that he takes one he will wake up several times during the night. We have tried to let him cry it out but without fail he cries and cries and then throws up and then at 2 in the morning I get to clean up puke. So today I didn't put him down for a nap and was doing some cleaning when I didn't hear him playing so I began searching the house for him and this is where I found him. Under his crib asleep!!!

Tanner turns 3!!!

We always try to make birthdays extra special for our kids so when I found out that Tanner's birthday was on Super Bowl Sunday and the monthly birthday party with Paul's side of the family. I decided that Saturday the day before we would make his special day. I asked him what he wanted to do and he said have a Mario Party. So I started working on a Super Mario Brother's party. Well the party stores have nothing so I was going to have to get creative. Well I found a goldmine the best website for party ideas. www.coolpartyblog.com She had everything invitations, party decoration ideas and everything she even had all the templates for me to make your own. So with a couple ideas from her and some off my own I soon had a perfect party. Fortunately it didn't cost too much but because of the lack of availability off Mario Brothers stuff it took a lot of time and planning ahead to get what few things I could find from Hong Kong. What did we ever do before EBAY.

On Tanner's actual birthday we woke up and had Tanner's choice for breakfast. Donuts!! Then I worked on his birthday cake and wrapped his presents. We headed up to my mom's for lunch and presents from Grandma and Grandpa. Then it was time to go to Paul's parents house for dinner, Super Bowl, and more presents. So I think all in all he had a great birthday.

I wish Winter was over!!!

The boys were going crazy so I decided that we would go and do something different to help the boys get some energy out. So we headed to Kangaroo Zoo. So the boys loved it. Logan especially loved it. At first he was scared and didn't want to do anything then after going down the slide a few times he was hooked/ So hooked that he had a absolute melt down when we had to go home.

Thanksgiving, Christmas, Kaden's birthday, New Year's.... and everything else since!!

Well man after Logan was in the hospital we spent the next several weeks with all of our kids taking turns getting sick. And I mean sick... Kaden was just absolutely miserable. SO after many doctors appointments and we all started to feel better the beginning of December. Thanksgiving was pretty busy going between houses and taking care of sick kids, trying to find the balance between seeing family that was in town and staying home to get better. The boys were starting to feel okay so my mom offered to watch the kids while Paul and I did some day after Thanksgiving shopping and every year I wonder why I go but it helps save money so I guess I be going again next year.
So once Thanksgiving was done we hit Christmas in full swing. We started with the Bountiful Light Parade which the boys always love. The next day we went and saw Santa and the boys told Santa what they wanted. Then we started with all the Christmas parties: Paul's work, both my Grandpa's, my Mom's party and Paul's moms grand kids party. I was hoping sometime in there to squeeze in Temple Square but it was way to cold to take the boys out in so we did Thanksgiving Pointe lights where you drive through and then saw Santa's reindeer. Christmas Eve we went to Paul's mom's house for dinner then home for Christmas movies and the boys to exchange gifts and a present from mom and dad. Christmas morning was great. The boys were excited and were starting to full understand Santa each year it gets more and more fun. They opened presents and played with presents for awhile and then off to visit Grandma and Grandpa.
Just when I felt like I could breath from Christmas; it was time to get ready for Kaden's birthday. Paul had the day off of work so we started the day with a special breakfast and went mini golfing and to lunch. Tanner got a hole in one while golfing and was so excited. Then is was home to get ready for the party that night. Bowling with some friends. The boys had fun but we had a little scare when my friends little girl got her hand caught in the ball return. Thankfully her hand was okay. We came home for pizza and presents. (WAY TOO MANY PRESENTS)
New Year's was spent at my brother's house which was fun we had games, wii, bounce house it kept us busy and same with the boys, who all managed to stay awake until midnight.
Since New Year's I have been trying to caught up from all the neglected house work and projects. Paul started work on our basement hopefully by next year it will be done or at least pretty close.
